Our fishing excursion with Scott Williams of “Thrill of It All Charters” was a highlight of our week spent in Ft Myers area. We left from the Punta Rassa boat ramp—perfectly located right by the bridge to Sanibel—for a four-hour inland fishing adventure. Scott took us to the mangroves near Captiva and out by Pine Island, where we caught Yellow Speckled Trout, Redfish, a surprisingly large catfish, and even a Snook. While a curious bottlenose dolphin kept following us and scaring the fish (much to the captain’s chagrin but to my personal delight for photos), we also spotted a lemon shark! Scott was wonderful with both kids and seasoned anglers alike, sharing his expert local knowledge as a lifelong resident of the area. He was friendly, personable and most of all we felt comfortable and safe with him at the helm. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for an unforgettable fishing trip. Thanks for helping us create some lifelong family memories Captain! ✌
We had an absolutely amazing time with Scott. This was my first fishing charter and we had an absolute blast. I with my boyfriend and his grandparents. Scott was not only a great laid back guy but he was extremely knowledgeable in his craft. He knew exactly what he was doing and turned the activity from fishing to catching! This made our whole trip. Highly highly recommend this to anyone visiting this area!
Capt. Scott gave us a great day on the water. Every spot he took us had multiple hookups of every species we targeted. He showed great patience and taught the 3 junior anglers exactly how to fish and we caught way more fish than any of us expected. Will most definitely be calling him next time we’re in town
Beverly, a novice fisherman, and myself left for an exciting morning of striped bass (striper) fishing in Lake Cumberland’s east end with our.chartered captain, Capt. Lance Lusher @ 6:00 A.M. on 6-29-26. It proved to be everything I had hoped for, and a new educational delight for Beverly, my fiancée. Lance had netted our live bait hours before, and was very welcoming, being a most entertaining host with much experience, ability, technique, and teaching experience to back him up on his very comfortable roomy pontoon boat. We caught our daily limit of 2 legal size 22” +, along with others which while fun to catch, had to be released for being slightly below the legal size to keep. Beverly caught the largest for the day, at about 33” and 18lbs. Not bad for a first time fisherman. I beleve that while we reeled the fish in, and our captain netted them, Capt. Lance may have hooked another fisherman for future encounters on scenic Lake Cumberland, which he also explained some of it to us. Larry Davis and Beverly Coleman. (Note: Capt. Lance’s pricing is less than I paid for charter over a dozen years ago while salmon fishing on Lake Michigan.)
Wow captain Scott, what can I say first the awesome clean boat, amazing bait, and the teaching lessons you gave our family. I cant thank you enough for all you did for us and the memories we made on your boat! What you didnt realize is you brought a Son and his Step Dad together and the fish was fantastic to eat! Thanks for cleaning it and letting me know how to cook it. We will be back next year on your boat. Amazing captain hands down.
