My partner and I came here a few weeks ago with his daughter and boyfriend. It was pretty busy since we went on a saturday, but we only waited 15 mins for a table. Just an FYI, you can't make reservations. I ordered the passion fruit cosmo, it was fine. I found that it tasted more sugary than I would like. We ordered corn bread and honey butter and coconut shrimp. The corn bread was fluffy, and pretty tasty. The honey butter was creamy and you could taste the honey. The shrimp was pretty good, the breading didnt have much taste, but the palm sugar sauce it came with was full of flavor. Our main dish was the key lime grouper, with a crab cake on top, whipped potatoes, and key lime butter sauce. We had asked for the sauce on the side but they did not do that. Overall the dish was fine, not amazing. The sauce really helped bring flavor to the fish and crab cake, it was however a little thick for my liking. The crab cake was pretty delectable, had more flavor than the grouper. The dish was pretty heavy so we opted for no dessert. We didnt see our waiter very often and he didnt seem to have heard us maybe when we requested certain items. My partners daughter asked for truffle fries but just got plain fries. It was pretty busy and he seemed to always be in a rush. It was awkward when we paid because he stood there and watched us when we were putting in the tip. Service could use improvement. The price for our meals and drinks were pricey for the quality we received. The atmosphere though is what you pay for since you have water view. Also, the parking situation is pretty terrible and I live in Dallas. So be prepared to park further from the restaurant and walk.
First time here and it was a good time! Very relaxed experience next to the water. Dora was our waitress and she was amazing (we have to give her a raise or bonus) ! So sweet and helpful for the menu and drinks :) we had the chicken sandwich (great!)and the lobster roll …. AMAZING! (I forgot to take a picture of our food and drinks)
First, the atmosphere & location are excellent. The Dock restaurant has been a staple of Naples for over 50 years. We sat at the outside covered patio and enjoyed our meal combined with nice views of the dock & awesome weather. Second, while my Roasted Quinoa Vegetable Bowl with blackened salmon was delightful & my friends' fish & chips meal was good, one of our group ordered the lobster bisque. It was cold upon arrival & cold upon 2nd return from the kitchen so our server graciously removed it from our bill. We also ordered a dirty martini that arrived looking like a glass of water. When one of us approached the bartender to request additional olive juice, he displayed an irritated attitude. Third, I wish I could rate our server separate from the bartender & food runners. DAMJANA earned a 5-star rating!! She displayed a warm smile and pleasant, helpful disposition throughout our meal. Twice, we needed additional condiments and 2 separate food runners literally dropped them onto our table, spun around and strolled away nonchalantly. They were not in a hurry as we could've overlooked their attitude if they were rushed to assist other customers. They simply acted like it was a bother to bring items to our table. Given the fact that all of us are in the restaurant business, we felt management should be informed of a few shortcomings. Overall, we would return to The Dock & recommend it to others!
We came on a recommendation from my boss on our trip home from Sanibel Island. Everything was perfectly arranged and delicious. We even got a beautiful rainbow with our experience! We will return next time we’re nearby. Thank you!
Delicious seafood! This spot is worth a visit if you are in the area. Highly suggest reserving a table next to the deck if you are coming around sunset. Overall the restaurant is pretty crowded with tables, and does get busy and packed in the evenings. We definitely got one of the best tables, but it still felt packed. Service was good.
