Despite some negative reviews on google, i began letting my dog, Shadow attend day camp, four months ago. He has had a positive, fun experience each time. The staff is wonderful from the front desk to the staff who plays and attends to the campers. He has a fun, enriching time with the pack of the day. As he only just turned 15 months, and is a mini Aussie mix, he requires a lot of time and attention so it's a good break for us both as well and since we have a cat and do not have another dog he gets to play all day with his friends, although he loves little Ava so much! ! I HIGHLY recommend Bonita Pet Paradise as well as their New Day Veterinary service and their grooming as well. Don't be put off by a few bad reviews The staff really loves your fur kids.
I honestly really wanted to like this place. The people were nice when I checked her in. I bought my dog for boarding for the first time, I had her booked for 5 nights of boarding one night which would include the first time complimentary boarding for new customers. Along with the boarding I added on the extra day care for my German shepherd, she’s a high energy dog and I wanted her to be exercised enough and happy. When I dropped her off I asked them when the last time for the night dogs are walked before bed, I was informed it was about 730-80pm and they wouldn’t be walked again until 6am. To me that seems like a long time to leave dogs between potty breaks, but again I’ve never boarded a dog so I wasn’t sure. I was given the link to watch her in her “suite” little did I know apparently it was an extra charge for her to be placed in a “suite” with a camera. Hindsight I’m glad I had the suite with a camera, had I not I would have never seen her restless the first time night because the dog next to her was howling all night and then for there to be loud music playing all night. Next it came to the morning time, dogs were taken out what seemed to be individually. I watched on camera while she waited until 7 am to be taken out of her “suite” after being in their since 8pm. All while dogs in the boarding area continued to howl, including the one next to her. She was taken on a very short potty break only to be returned to her “suite” and then fed. Later at what I believe to be 9:30am she was taken out play with the dogs in doggie care. Mind you I’m paying the extra to include her on the doggie daycare side during the day. When I had the opportunity to check back to the webcams at. 12pm she was back in her “suite” and every opportunity I had to check the cameras she was always in the “suite” instead of playing on the doggie daycare side. She spent another night there. Again the dog next to her howling all night. She was rest less and couldn’t sleep. That morning I called them and told them I wanted her release to a friend since I had been out of state. I told them I would give my card information over the phone so my friends would not be charged. I gave my information but somehow my friends were still charged during pick up. They offered to move her to a suite that wasn’t next to the howling dog but at this point I was already disappointed in the care that they’ve been giving her. Upon checking out over the phone, yes I’m aware that I called 6:30 in the morning as soon as they open but they tried to charge me for the boarding day plus all of the day care days even tho she only had one day care day. They also forgot that she was using their complimentary boarding day, but once I had mentioned that I was informed because she was in a camera suite I would be charged the extra rate for the camera suite something that was not disclosed to be at the time of booked. Most of the fees were sorted out but honestly I don’t recommend bring your dog here. My friend had also informed me that when she was picking up my dog another customer was also complaining how their dog was being left in the “suites” for $70 a night I would like to think that would include allow dogs to play on the doggie day care side. Not $70 a night just to lock them up in a room for 10+ hours, only to let them out on occasional potty breaks.
Amazing experience, my dogs were so loved and cared for. Answered all my questions, I had several changes to the stay due to changes in my personal travels and they accommodated me perfectly. And it was so comforting to see my pups playing. 🩷 will definitely come back here!
This was for the vet part: I am beyond frustrated with this pet clinic. We reached out because one of my cats had a severely infected stomach, and on top of that, she’s been meowing constantly at night. We were desperate for real help, but they brushed it off as a behavioral issue, which it absolutely was not. When we asked for other options, the staff got an attitude, as if we were just a bother. They didn’t even do a proper exam when they gave my other cat a shot, we had to hold her ourselves because they couldn’t handle her. Yet, despite this bare minimum care, we were forced to pay for a full exam, including blood work, even though all they did was glance at her, give one shot, and take a stool sample. Afterward, they never called to check in on my other sick cat once they gave her antibiotics they just disappeared all week. When I called with simple questions, they actually laughed in my face, and one of the vet techs was even laughing when I asked about other options to help her calm down at night. It was just so unprofessional. When we paid for a doctor visit, the doctor never even came in they just sent a tech. When they brought my cat back, she was meowing nonstop, running straight to me she’s normally so friendly, but she didn’t want that tech anywhere near her. And when we brought in my other cat, the doctor was scared and didn’t want to touch her at all. We had to hold our cat so they could give the shot, and again, they said they couldn’t help us. We still had to pay the full price, even though the care was minimal, and it was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I would never recommend them to anyone, this whole ordeal was a complete waste of time
I have been bringing both mine and my mom’s dogs here for years. Even as the staff has cycled through different employees, they are all always wonderful! Pet Paradise Bonita Springs has done a great job treating them with so much patience and care. I truly appreciate this business so much! Besides the wonderful staff, the facility is absolutely top tier. We have brought the dogs in for everything from grooming to boarding to vet visits. Every time it has been an amazing experience. Thank you guys so much! Teddy and Pickles are looking forward to their next appointment. (:
