We rented a one person kayak and a two person kayak for a two-hour outing. Reasonably priced. The guys working there were helpful and set up our kayaks for us, and provided some guidance on where to go around the mangrove-choked inlet. I suggest getting a map if you can. We enjoyed paddling around and made it out to where the Cocohatchee River connects to the ocean. Beautiful experience. We saw birds, but little other wildlife.
While Del-nor Wiggins park is wonderful, Naples Beach Adventures which is located in the park is not. I’ve tried several times to rent kayaks through them and I was given so many lame excuses that I stopped trying. My take is that they just don’t want to be bothered. Too bad.
Good SUP experience on the Gulf, but it would be very nice to be able to paddle on the back bay when the Gulf is too choppy. The brochure says you can paddle the backwaters, but they will not launch there.
Only tried the food, not the ‘beach adventure’. The cheeseburger was literally a heated up microwave burger, but for $6. Pretty bizar that some people still think that sounds reasonable.
This is a great place for everyone. I went with a friend, but there were multiple families as well. There's plenty to do for everyone.
