Reviews
Maria’s has been our favorite local pizza restaurant for years. We have been loyal customers years and regularly ordered delivery. In the past, the food was always fresh, hot, and consistent. Unfortunately, over the past year, we have noticed a steady decline in both the quality of the food and the delivery service. We typically order the same items, so when there is a change in taste and quality, it’s noticeable. The food has become inconsistent and no longer meets the standard we had come to expect from Maria’s. In addition, the delivery service has been disappointing. The first incident occurred this past year when a pizza sat outside for approximately 40 minutes because the driver did not ring the doorbell. We did not complain at the time. We had ordered it for our teens. We did receive a notification of delivery and assumed all was fine. Until we received a call from our kid asking when the pizza is going to be delivered. This has since become an ongoing issue. Drivers frequently leave the pizza without ringing the bell, and on multiple occasions in recent orders, the pizza has arrived only warm or completely cold when we met the driver at the door. During our most recent order, I specifically included delivery instructions requesting that the doorbell be rung. It was about time and I went to go check and saw the driver walking away and was able to stop him. He explained that he had multiple deliveries ahead of ours, which contributed to the pizza no longer being hot upon arrival.it was warm. I guess there’s no longer heating bags to transfer pizzas anymore either. Driver didn’t speak nor understand English maybe he couldn’t read the request? That might be a problem. What is particularly frustrating is the cost associated with delivery. Between delivery fees, service charges, and tip, we paid nearly $27–$28 extra for this order. I recall delivery charge being maybe $8-10 altogether and we will leave a 15% tip for the driver. Paying $28 for a cold pizza to come to my house is insanity. At this delivery price point Customers should reasonably expect their food to arrive promptly and at the proper temperature. Tried calling to talk with someone but was told I was to be transferred and was hung up on. I think it’s time to move on and find another place to order pizza from. It is disappointing to say that, based on these repeated experiences, we will no longer be ordering from Maria’s. We valued your restaurant for many years, and it is unfortunate to see this decline in both quality and service. Included in pics is another review of an unhappy customer about delivery leaving it outside on the ground.
Can't say enough nice things... We've ordered take-out and delivery from Maria's for YEARS - love the pizza, sandwiches, pastas, salads. etc. The other day we finally made it into the restaurant for a sit down meal, and it was a fabulous experience! Food was as good as always, and of course getting it piping hot from the kitchen does make a difference. We had Stephanie as our waitress, and she was GREAT! Funny, friendly, and absolutely perfect service - can't ask for more! So anyway, wether you eat-in or take-out, Maria's is an absolute hit!
Service was great, (thank you Tyler) food was very tasty, serving sizes are crazy big, they serve garlic rolls and oil, salads were fresh, iced tea is nice & strong. We've had their calories before and they were just as good. Would definitely recommended. Servers are wearing masks and seating is spaced appropriately.
I have ate there now 4 times never had a bad meal. The calamari I had tonight was the best I have ever had it was very tasty soft and batter was delicious!! And our dinners were not a disappointment as well very good. Will be returning 🤙
I’m not an i’m not a big fan of Italian restaurants, but after reading the reviews, I was really excited to come here, but I was quickly disappointed. It took us a while to be acknowledged, and to sit down, but other than that the service was pretty good. Our server was really nice and attentive. The ambience was all right, but what brought the stars down for me is that the food was so bad. Everything was like warm. The mozzarella sticks were all right, but what gets me is the plating of this, I just think it’s so weird(pictured). The soups were bland, and they both didn’t get finished. The best thing we ordered was the caprese salad, The tomatoes were hilariously large, but it was good. I got the Giovanni’s veal and not to be that person but it’s one of the most expensive things on the menu and it was not very good. I had to add all of these things to it to make it good. Mine was salvageable but for the margarita pizza absolutely not, i mean look at it. It was so soggy and flimsy. I took a picture of the bottom of the plate and you can see the oil or water whatever it was at the bottom. Overall, 2 stars.
