Marco Island Public Beach is beautiful, with soft white sand and clear water, making it a great place to relax. However, I was surprised by the lack of basic amenities. There are no restrooms or showers, which makes it inconvenient for anyone planning to spend more than a couple of hours at the beach, especially families with children. The beach itself is lovely, but the facilities don’t match the needs of visitors. With better amenities, this could easily be a 5-star destination.

One of the best beaches I’ve ever been to, hands down. The palm tree-lined walkway sets the tone right away, and the signage is awesome — even offering life vests for kids if you forgot yours. White sand, crystal clear blue water, beautiful shells, and a super fun beach to walk. The sandbar stretches forever, letting you swim way out and still stand while dolphins and manatees cruise by. Everybody’s just vibing with open containers and enjoying life. Water was an unreal 90° the first day and cooled to a refreshing 88° the next. Paid parking is conveniently right across the street from the access point for about $10/day, but expect a wait if you go during peak beach hours.

The sand here is incredibly soft and white, making it one of the most beautiful spots I’ve visited for a long walk by the water. I spent the afternoon searching for shells, and the variety you can find just washing up on the shore is amazing. It has a very relaxed and upscale vibe, and even though it’s a popular spot, there is plenty of room to spread out a towel and enjoy the sunset. The water is clear and calm, which is perfect if you just want to wade in and cool off. It is a fantastic place to just sit back, breathe in the salt air, and take some great photos of the coastline.

Pure paradise on Marco Island! The South Beach Public Access is absolutely breathtaking. The sand is incredibly white and soft, and the beach is wide enough that it never feels too crowded. It truly feels like a tropical escape. I was blown away by the stunning turquoise water and the peaceful atmosphere. It is the perfect spot to spend a day relaxing under the sun or taking a long walk along the shoreline. This beach is a real treasure, and I am still so impressed by its natural beauty. A must-visit if you are in the area!

There’s two (2) lots for parking, $11 for the whole day and it’s pay by plate so you’ll need a mobile phone to scan and pay. There’s a play ground for the kids, bathrooms but no shower to wash the sand or salt off, that I could find at least. A little bit of a walk to get to the ocean because you park at the inlet/jetty where the fisherman frequent. The walk is about half a mile (.5 mile), if that, and it’s on fluffy white sand so not harsh on bare feet. Spent about 4 hours here, the water was nice and calm. Lots of shells as well. Be sure to pack a lunch and lots of water if you plan to stay a full day as there’s not a gas station or places to eat close by. Enjoy and be sure to pack in pack out! (Leave nothing behind)
