Leo’s installed 2400 sq ft of sod in my side and rear yard and did a great job. They were not the least expensive but I learned you get what you pay for. Leo’s did sod-cutting of the entire area being replaced, removing all the old weeds and lowering the surface so the new lawn would be close to level with nearby grass. Then they laid quality sand-raised sod which acclimates better and quicker in sandy soils. They then rolled the area for uniformity and best contact. I also monitored watering and mowing carefully, so as to not over-water and not damage roots with mowing until established. It’s been installed for three months and the entire area is now well rooted and lush green (St. Augustine/Floratam). I worked with Kristen for the job estimate, planning and follow up – she was great, always responsive and helpful. How do I know you get what you pay for? Just prior to Leo’s work, my HOA landscaper replaced a smaller section that turned out nasty. It’s 5 inches higher than surrounding areas because they did no sod-cutting, they just tossed what is probably muck-raised sod on top and didn’t roll it at all. It’s already mostly brown with fungus and I’ve already replaced part of that section again.

Awesome installation, and the quality of the grass brought to my home was a pleasant surprise. It’s just a little over two weeks now since it’s been down with one application of 10 -10-10 at 2 pounds per thousand square feet. And two cuts at 1.75 inches with my robot mower. Thanks for the awesome job!

Super company to deal with. Great job was done. Very professional workers. I had my entire front and back yards and swale re-sodded. Everything was done to my satisfaction and all areas were left clean. They were very careful with my sprinkler system when removing the old sod. I would highly recommend Leo's Sod

This is an update of my fungus infected sod from Leo’s Sod. All the fungus infected sod was treated. After a few weeks, it was treated again. After a few more weeks, all the fungus infected sod was raked out by hand. These photos show all the damage that was done by installing Leo’s Sod.

We used Leo Sod this March, 2025 to, completely remake our home yard on our 5 acre parcel here in Golden Gate Estates. Total area covered was over 6,000 square feet, utilizing a new variety of Floratam called Citra-Blue. From our first contact with Nicole in the office, to Kristen in sales (who is amazingly prompt in keeping us informed regarding each step of the process) and ESPECIALLY to all the hard-working guys who prepped the yard, laid the sod, and cleaned up their work, the experience has been truly professional. One must know there is a great deal of coordinating to make this happen, and for us, Kristen has been the key in making all this come to fruition. The work is difficult, but our final product is a tribute to a 'job well done', and we are beyond pleased. Everyone we have dealt with has been happy, genuine, and eager to do the right thing. Above all, Kristen's ability in communicating with us in a timely manner has been refreshing. There is a good reason this Company has been in business for over 53 years, and obviously the success comes from the 'Top Down' philosophy that permeates all who work here. It has been a pleasure doing business with them. Thanks!
