I have tried multiple landscape services here in Marco Island. Island Garden Center is the best! They communicate clearly, show up when they say they will be there, get the work done on time, and charge a very fair price. If you need plants or landscape work done. Call them!

I WOULD LIKE TO WARN THE CONSUMER ABOUT THE TYPE OF BUSINESS CHRITOPHER ( THE OWNER) HAS. I went to him about a project that had to take place in different stages because of windows being put into my house. The first stage was the front garden closer to the street away from the house. Plants were installed and 1 month later I showed Chris several plants that were dying. He said I wasn’t watering them properly,I had an Irrigation company that he recommended install the sprinkler system where needed for the gardens. I called him out to look at the system and was told all the plants are being watered, he even set my timer for every day and also checked the timer to-make sure it was working properly so I-called Chris back and he said give them time. 3 months later I brought him out again and he said he couldn’t replace them because time had run out. OK the windows are still not finished on the house because we are running into problems with that company, it turns out they are from Chicago and have never installed windows on a block home so they didn’t know what they were doing. So the second and third phase of my planting was held up. So when the window in the garage and the primary bath were completed I called Chris and they installed the plants in that area but the gardens on either side of my front door had to be held up because of the windows in that area were the wrong size and we had to get the city inspector out to look at them and inform the window company that they had to be replaced with the right size or the job would not pass code. By the time we were ready to put the plants in by the front door I went out front to look at the plants already installed and noticed that some were dead and some were not even planted. I was ripped off, I paid for plants that they never even put in at the second phase. I also noticed that some of the plants he had suggested for the planters by the front door will grow way to high and block the windows so I called several times over a 21/2 month period to discuss changes to the plants with something else. He said no he will plant what we agreed on. I asked for a refund and I would find the plants I wanted there and he said no, I either go with what we agreed on or nothing. Please be very careful when dealing with this man. He comes across as being extremely nice but he is not. I have talked to several other landscapers and nursery’s and they have told me that this is not how a business should be run. Chris told me that we agreed on the type of plants but I mentioned that I took him as being the professional and that he would not put 3 plants in front of a living room window that would block our views of the out side. I don’t know what it is with businesses here but it is very upsetting when I feel that I am being taken advantage of. He said very mean things to me and when my Husband confronted him on it he denies he ever said it. He is a lier and not a gentleman at all. I can’t say it enough BE AWARE.
