We enjoyed a fantastic day on the water with Endless Summer Charters. Captain CJ is VERY GOOD at what he does. His personality, knowledge, experience, fishing and boating skills, people skills, hard work and interest are beyond compare. He is passionate about fishing and it shows………… I would say he is also passionate about people, that shows too. We could not have had a better captain or better trip than we did on March 21, 2026. Thanks CJ. Our trip started with a phone call to Angela in the office. She too is very good at what she does. Our conversation convinced me that what we wanted was the six hour combo trip which offered enough diversity of things to do on the water that all six family members, from three generations, would have a wonderful time. And we did. CJ called the night before our trip to confirm that everything was in order. From that phone call alone I knew we were with the right guy. He shared our schedule: First shelling because we would hit the low tide. Then fishing (which was phenomenal) and in between………...watching the dolphins and the manatees and the birds. Even getting some history thrown in there. We opted to bring our own lunch so that we would have more time on the water. We were thrilled with the entire excursion. CJ made every one of us feel welcome, comfortable and able. We all had fun. Thanks CJ. Our first stop was shelling on the beautiful and remote south end of Cayo Costa. CJ made sure to get us there at low tide and the shelling was FANTASTIC. We even saw nesting osprey. CJ also made sure that Gale was comfortable and that she enjoyed her own special adventure. Time and again CJ went out of his way to be sure each of us was having a great time. When it came time for fishing, CJ put us on fish. If they weren’t biting in one place he moved us to another. By the end of our fishing adventure each one of the six of us had caught several fish, of several different species. Even Gale who perhaps was the least comfortable with the idea of fishing and boating was smiling ear to ear with the fish she caught. CJ is patient, helpful and attentive - he baited and casted and released, he did it all when needed. And he recognized the interest of some to do it themselves. Little things like that are important. He knew. Lots of little things………..taking and sharing pictures, cleaning the fish (which were delicious), sharing stories, smiling, being happy …….oh and did I mention that CJ went out early in the morning the day of our trip so that he personally could catch the shrimp that we would fish with (he thinks they are superior and worth the effort to get – I guess he is right). Our trip was a great success because CJ CARES about what he is doing. He grew up fishing here and he is GOOD at it. Somewhere in all of that he became a caring, compassionate man who is thrilled to share his passion. We were thrilled to share just a small piece of CJ’s success. Thanks CJ.

Out on a quick 4 hour inshore trip, Captain Bill was great at keeping things moving, and giving us the best opportunities to find good fishing. At 10 and 12, the boys made some great core memories. Thank you Captain Bill for the fun. We hope to be back again soon.

My family went on the combo excursion tour with Cpt. CJ. We had such a blast with him that we booked the 6 hour Inshore trip a couple days later. Cpt. CJ was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and awesome with kids. We were on so much mangrove snapper and grouper we left for redfish. If it weren’t for the several hour long slack-tide, I know we would have walked away with more redfish! We had several bites and even caught a little lemon shark! Other fish we caught were sea trout, gag grouper, red grouper, flounder, and hard head/gafftopsail catfish. My son is spoiled from Cpt CJ’s expertise of knowing when to move on from a slowing fishing spot and the next honey hole full of fish. Next time we are in Sanibel, we plan on booking several excursions with Cpt. CJ and Endless Summer Charters.

We had the best time out on the water today with CJ! My family did a 4 hour shark fishing charter and it exceeded our expectations and then some. CJ was very prepared from the get go (he’d already been out since 5am catching baitfish so he didn’t have to spend our charter time doing so). We got out to the spot and within 10 minutes we hooked into our first shark. My son (whose idea it was to book the charter) was smiling ear to ear reeling that big fish into the boat. We caught 6 sharks altogether today, including two nine foot nurse sharks which were just monsters to reel in. CJ was great with my kids, coaching them just enough to make sure we landed the sharks but also gave them room to figure out the challenge and have fun doing it. He also made sure my 8 year old daughter got a chance to reel as well - she asked and he delivered! There was another boat about 100 yards away from us, and we could see they weren’t catching anything, which I think is a testament to CJ’s experience that we landed so many (on top of the 6 we landed, 4 threw the hook and got away). I highly recommend booking with Endless Summer for your charter fishing experience and specifically asking for CJ!

Captain CJ was an amazing guide and literally put us on fish from the very first cast. Talk about a memories the family will never forget. He was awesome with the kids and consistently checked in to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. 170 fish caught millions of memories made. Appreciate you CJ can't wait until our next adventure together. He prepared the fish for us to take home and devour. They were delicious. Highly recommended.
