My wife and I came across Doc's when we were out and about exploring. We really liked the food and atmosphere. I had the Italian beef and she had the grilled chicken sandwich, it was great. We'll definitely come back to try some other's.
My family and I were headed to Naples for a night and we planned to stop at Doc’s Beach House for an ocean side brunch and a quick dip in the beach on the way down. We were looking forward to it and in good spirits. Unfortunately, parking was difficult to find so we opted for valet, where I’m assuming we met the owner who was beyond rude and unpleasant. He told us in a not so friendly voice “You can’t go in the beach. No beach at all. I will tow away anyone I see going into the beach!” I tried to explain to him we were going to eat at his business and wanted to get in the water for a few minutes before we continue on our trip. He proceeds with “Absolutely no beach. No arguing!” Um excuse me? Way to ruin our morning. We end up spending $70 for food plus drinks. The outside beach tables were mostly empty with maybe three other customers and the same for inside the restaurant. To make matters worse, my daughter didn’t receive part of her order and the nail in the coffin was that I found a dead fly in my pancake (photo for proof). You better believe we put our feet in the water after all that. Aside from the perfect location right on the beach, this place was a complete disaster. I couldn’t believe the owner of a business could treat his patrons this way. We will never go back.
Nice place and great service. One of the cash only premises. I havent noticed and ordered coffee and drink. It was nice of them to let me drink and come back later with money. By the way they have great local craft beers.
Great food and a wonderful atmosphere! We sat right by the beach and enjoyed our meal while our child played in the water, such a relaxing experience. It’s cash only, but there is an ATM available on-site. Parking is free if you use the restaurant’s lot, and there’s also paid public parking right next door for convenience.
Stopped at Doc’s after a couple hours on the beach up the road. Parking was a bit tricky but doable. They do have a valet. We found a table on the beach, placed our order inside. The did portions were great for the price. Our group had the fried clams, cheeseburgers, fish tacos (had a bit too much cilantro), and chicken tenders. Everything was good including the mozzarella sticks. Compared to other places we had been this trip, the prices, serving size, and quality of food were great. It is cash only. Try a frozen drink. They’re pricey but good. We would definitely return.
