I've lived here almost 7 years, and I've had an extremely positive experience with Coastal. Every single time I've had to call they're pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they do a great job with pickup as well. I have two trash pick up days per week, and throughout the entire time I've been here they've only missed two scheduled pickups, and one of them was after the hurricanes in 2024. I can't thank them enough!

I want to recognize Taneil for providing outstanding customer service! As a new and first-time homeowner living in an unincorporated area, I had no idea which trash service to set up an account with. After speaking with Taneil, she provided so much helpful information about trash and recycling options that made it easy for me to decide which service would be best for my needs. She was patient, professional, informative, and kind throughout the entire process. Taneil truly went above and beyond to help get my account set up and made everything feel simple and stress-free. Great customer service like this really makes a difference. I really appreciate her outstanding support!

We have been Costal customers for almost a year. Their service has always been sub par. It is difficult to know when they will actually show up, and it seems you get different answers depending on who you talk to. Things however have taken a serious turn for the worse. They have not picked up our trash in two weeks. My wife has talked to them three times. Each time they apologize and tell us someone will come within twenty four hours, or we are scheduled for service the next day. They never come. We confirmed that our account is paid in full and current. Now our trash can is infested with maggots and flies. If we can get them to haul away their can we will switch to someone reliable.

Samantha Gallagher treats every account like it’s the most important one, and that level of care truly makes us feel valued and appreciated as customers. I have been with Coastal now for two weeks. My can was not emptied completely on one of the two days. Also my recycling did not get picked up. I left on the road for 4 days. My scheduled day is Wednesday and it was taken down Monday night for Tuesday trash pickup. We were notified our days would not change after Coastal took over for Republic Recycling. If there was a change we should have been notified. Thursday winds caused me to recover all of my recycling from the roadway. Turn the page, now Friday my recycling is still on the street. My house is not 50’ from the road. I have to load my trash and recycling in my truck to take it to the main road for pickup. I’m older and disabled and this is what Hernando County residents get now. (Lower bidder). Thanks Hernando County Board Members!!!!!!! It should be 1/2 star for getting pickup partly right. Please do not respond with, “I’m sorry for inconvenience or I’m sorry you had to experience this situation.
