Citrola’s Italian Restaurant is the real deal. Seriously, the aroma of garlic and simmering sauce literally warms the entire neighborhood, and you can smell the magic right from the street as you approach. The vibe inside is fantastic, but word to the wise, get here early because the tables fill up fast and for good reason. The food is pure, comforting heaven. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and immediately declared that the meatballs tasted 100% homemade. They have that authentic, rich flavor that takes us right back to the incredible Italian cooking we grew up around in Detroit. We are not Italian ourselves, but we know the good stuff when we taste it. As for my lasagna, it was spectacular. It was loaded with cheese, perfectly saucy, and easily gives the high end Italian spots back home a serious run for their money. Our server was top notch, super friendly and attentive without hovering. To top it all off, the portions are so massive that we walked out with a heavy box of leftovers. They went straight into our hotel mini fridge and became the ultimate late night snack the next evening. Honestly, it tasted just as wonderful the second time around. If you want a phenomenal meal and excellent hospitality, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Spectacular local Italian home cooking restaurant! Probably the best garlic knots I’ve ever had! Everything else is exceptional as well. Worth a visit!

Very nicely decorated restaurant, Ashley was very nice and efficient. We had the lobster 🦞 ravioli, the bread was very good. The prices were reasonable and the food is very good. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean.

I would like to take a moment to mention the staff. I'm a lady who dined alone one evening, recently & I had the best time! All of the girls working that evening, we're so welcoming and happy. Ava, was my server. She was as superb as my Shrimp Alfredo! I felt so cared for, (by everyone!!!) Ava was spot on, attentive and kind. This is an amazing staff. They were all happy and all working together, it was obvious they love their job. I was so delighted with my visit, on my way out, I asked if I may speak to the owner. The girls explained that the owner was not there. Kudos to her staff for representing 100 % !!! So impressive. I will be back with my friends for another visit this week!!!! Thanks girls!!!! This is by far the best italian restaurant in the area! Our family and friends are never disappointed when dining with Citrolas! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food is affordable and absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is so comfortable and family friendly. We feel a part of the family here and honestly I cannot think of another restaurant that we recommend more than Citrolas! Try it out, you will NOT be disappointed!
