Went for an inshore bay trip with Captain Jemel and while he warned us ahead of time that the fishing might be slow due to a recent cold front, he WORKED to put us on fish and did not disappoint. Ended up catching 6 different species (snook, redfish, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, ladyfish, and black drum) with 2 keeper fish. A knowledgeable fisherman and personable, friendly captain that made it a very pleasant trip. Great with kids and beginner anglers. Hope to return for another trip with Captain Jemel!!!
Captain Jemel was amazing. Very patient. Especially with our one friend who has absolutely no coordination or skillset whatsoever. Caught 5 species of fish that he put us on top of. Would 100% do again.
What a great day on the water with Captain Jemel. Friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly put us on fish even in tough conditions. Five different species and a lot of fish boated. I have taken many guided trips in the past and understand the importance of a great guide. If you’re looking to fish in south west Florida, look no further!

Captain Jemel is the absolute best! Took my 12 year old son and 2 of his friends for a b-day backwater charter and we all had an unforgettable time. Captain Jemel is patient, knowledgeable and did amazing with the boys! Even going to extra lengths to make sure 1 of them got to catch the only thing he wanted--a snook. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing day on the water, Black Irish Charters is definitely the way to go!!!
