We needed to have an electrician come out to fix an issue with us constantly tripping the breaker and having too many outlets tied to a single circuit. We also wanted to get a couple of new outlets in other areas while we had someone out. Bates was able to get us scheduled quickly which was awesome. Scott Redfern was absolutely wonderful. We had a previous electrical company by to try and tackle the project and they were rude and hesitant to take it on, and that was the complete opposite of Scott. He took the time to figure out the best approach for our situation and was able to get our outlets that were constantly tripping in multiple rooms on seperate circuits. His great thinking allowed us to get this done without ripping up tile or any other ideas that would cause a big headache. He even went out of his way to get a section of drywall for us to do the patch. The wiring for the external looks amazing, he did a wonderul job of feeding it so that it follows along underneath the gutters to get us power to our patio in the back. Our house is older and has some quirks that put off other electricians that came by but Scott did a wonderful job. Now we have the dedicated circuits, new receptical in the family room, the 2 external outlets and a very happy wife. Scott was an incredibly nice and knowledgeable guy who went above and beyond. Would definitley recommend and we know the company to reach out to for anything in the future.

Bates electric did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. We had electric panels replaced in basement with whole home surge protection. Outdoor electric ran to two roofs over patio and deck and two fans installed. Bryan was professional and friendly. He was amazing doing all the work. If you need work done at your home you can't go wrong with Bates Electric. I recommend them and Bryan. Thanks again!

I hired Bates Electric to install the electrical disconnect for my hot tub and trusted them as licensed professionals to perform the work correctly, comply with electrical code requirements, and obtain any required permits. Approximately three years later, while having unrelated permitted work inspected at my home, an inspector discovered that no permit had ever been pulled for the hot tub electrical installation. The inspector also identified that the disconnect had been installed incorrectly, including being located too close to the hot tub waterline. As a result, the installation had to be corrected. Because the disconnect was originally mounted to my home’s siding, correcting the improperly installed equipment resulted in damage that now requires siding repair. Despite the installation being unpermitted and requiring correction after the inspection, Bates Electric has refused to cover the cost of repairing the damaged siding. What is most disappointing is the lack of accountability. Homeowners hire licensed electrical contractors because we rely on their expertise to know the code requirements, obtain permits when required, and perform installations correctly the first time. I should not have learned years later that the work was unpermitted and improperly installed. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly and reasonably. Instead of standing behind their work and addressing the resulting property damage, Bates Electric has chosen to deny responsibility. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bates Electric. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to verify that permits have been obtained and that all required inspections are completed

Excellent job of pre-wiring & installing 2 ceiling fans in my outdoor patio. Very happy with the gentleman who actually installed them, he was efficient and got the job done ASAP!
