We came here exclusively for their wood fired pizza. The place is cool and neat. We ate on the patio in May which wasn't too hot with the fans and a breeze going. The fountain outside is nice and the patio is shaded so it's a good vibe outside. Inside was freezing cold, so bring a light jacket if you're eating inside. We ate all three pizzas that didn't have mushrooms on it: pepperoni, margarita, and prosciutto. All three were top notch. Crust was thick enough and yet so soft and chewable. One of the best crusts I've had. The thin pizzas are personal sized and cut into 4 slices. The prosciutto pizza had arugula on it and was a little hard to eat but good, more healthy tasting pizza. The pepperoni I kind of wished had a bit more kick to it or a little more pepperoni but it was still extremely good. The margarita pizza you really can taste how great the sauce is on the pizza. The cheese is good too, but the sauce and crust really stand out and they're fantastic. Overall this place is located in an affluent area, a quick walk to the beach, had a good atmosphere, and excellent tasting pizza. I would definitively come back and get the pizza again.
Amazing meals and service at this beautiful restaurant...all our dishes were great but the lobster ravioli was the star and of course the gelatos are the best in town…I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes😎😎😎
Horrible service. I didn’t expect to be treated less just because i’m a younger person visiting naples. I gave my allergy list and they still gave me the food with milk. I said it was a birthday and the server dropped the ice cream and didn’t even sing compared to the table next to us. I will never come back again. Also plate was broken! i work in the industry and it hurt to leave a bad tip but def gave more that what they deserved!
Went at around 3pm on Saturday, not many people, nice and cold inside on a warm day. My waitress was extremely kind and patient. The eggplant pasta was great, you can tell they use a quality penne. Husband ordered margarita pizza and chicken salad. Food was quickly served and were generously portioned. The atmosphere was very traditional Italian. Highly recommend 👌 **wheelchair accessible from the side street **highchair available
If you’re anywhere near Barbatella, do yourself a favor and make a reservation—you won’t regret it. From the moment you walk in, the place has that perfect Italian feel—warm, lively, and just the right balance of upscale without being stuffy. The service is sharp, attentive, and runs like a well-oiled machine, which always makes a difference. But let’s talk about the real star of the show: the ravioli. Absolutely outstanding. The pasta is perfectly cooked—tender but with just the right bite—and the filling is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite tastes like something straight out of a traditional Italian kitchen. The sauce ties it all together beautifully without overpowering the dish, which is exactly how it should be done. You can tell this is a place that takes pride in doing things the right way—no shortcuts, just quality ingredients and proper technique. It’s the kind of meal you remember and immediately start thinking about the next time you can go back. If you’re in Naples and want a true Italian dining experience, Barbatella is a must. And whatever you do… don’t skip the ravioli.
