I’ll preface w saying I don’t go out of my way to write reviews often but I’d like to spare another person if I can from making the mistake I did. I’m on the island visiting for a wedding and ran out of time before leaving home to get my nails done. Called this place and made an appointment after reading mostly good reviews. The woman on the phone was super friendly and accommodating. However, the older woman I got to do my nails was the complete opposite. When she called me back to her station we discussed my choice in color and shape I sat down and showed a pic of exactly what I wanted. She nodded and said ok like it was no biggie. I like an oval/almond shape for reference. I’ve had my nails done numerous times before, I gave up getting acrylics routinely over a year ago so my nails aren’t thinning or in rough shape. The first mishap occurred while clipping my nails w the cuticle cutters, she completely missed the nail and cut my finger instead. I said ouch and she just kind of chuckled and said sorry and I didn’t think much of it bc these things happen..but then we get to using the dremmel and she burnt me a couple of times (again aware this is not out of the norm to happen) Each time I kind of tugged my finger and again verbalizing the word ouch. She started to shape my nails asked me about the length and I asked her to make them just a little shorter. At this point she seems disgusted with me for even having any requests at all. She began slamming her jars around the drawers shut on her station. I’m mildly uncomfortable but also just telling myself I’m sure the slamming is her rushing she’s just trying to get me done so someone else can sit down and I’m misinterpreting her behavior. She continues w shaping and my pointer finger looked like it was making a hard left away from the others so I asked her to fix it. Again brings out the dremmel and seems to get progressively more aggressive. She burnt my fingers two more times before I finally asked her to relax thinking maybe she’s not comprehending my ouch’s 😅 at this point I’m looking around for cameras thinking I’m being punkd bc I’ve never experienced a manicure like this in my life. The excessive filing had the nails chipping on the edges leaving gaps between the tip and my finger nail and as the manicure progressed I became more anxious and afraid to say anything. My hands were so sweaty and instead of it being relaxing I was ridden with anxiety hoping she wasn’t going to burn my fingers every time she broke the dremmel out. The fifth time she burnt me I just stood up and politely said I was done and wanted to pay for what she had completed thus far on my nails and go. It was mortifying. She began trying to bargain with me in front of everyone and the kind lady on the phone did offer to take over but I was so over it I just wanted to get out of there..when I declined this offer my lady quite literally came up telling me I could just go pressing me out the door w her hand on my back. What a nightmare..

My wife visited angel nails while on vacation and had nothing but wonderful things to say. The people were extremely friendly, the service was great, and the prices were affordable. She was very pleased overall. She even mentioned that this would be her permanent spot if she lived in the area.

I had a great experience for two days in a row at Angel Nails & Spa. The first day I called and they were able to fit me in for a fill and pedicure right away. After arriving I had an emergency come up and did not have time for the pedicure. They completed the fill and re-scheduled me for the pedicure the following morning to fit my schedule. I will be honest the price was a little bit higher than what I am used to paying however, it is right by the beach and with the location it is understandable and was not unreasonable. I paid $65 for the pedicure and $70 for my fill with one repair. They offer several different types of pedicures and even massages! They hand you a menu which was different and fun! All of the staff were very kind and spoke clear English. I would definitely come back again and recommend to friends 😊

Edit: In the reply to my review this business is now making it sound like I never went there. I’m updating to 1 star for not only being bad at nails, but being dishonest to try and be right. I get gel manicures every few weeks, and this was definitely one of my worst experiences. The man was friendly, but for $48 I would’ve expected more care being taken and more of the actual service being performed. It was quite bare bones. Cuticles were removed dry, no moisturizer or anything so the cuticle line is rough. No washing off the nail shavings after buffing, so there are pieces of it in the polish. There is a lot polish left on my fingers which he tried to remove with the cuticle cutter by cutting my skin off??? Thankfully he just stopped trying. I’ve never had a nail tech cut the skin at the top of my fingers to remove polish. He also filed down the top and sides of my nails to remove polish but this completely unseals the manicure on the edges and leads to a shorter lifespan of the gel. I’m thankful I brought some tools on vacation with me because I spent an additional 30min cleaning the edges up. It was serviceable as long as no one looks longer than a second at my nails, but this is just not a spot I would return to.

I had a wonderful gel mani/pedi with Trish! She was so gentle with removing my old dip powder and trimming my cuticles, and my nails look perfect! If I am ever back on Marco Island I’ll be sure to pay a visit.
